Guide
lines for preparation of Lecture Schedule and maintenance of
Attendance cum Assessment record
I.
Maintenance of
Attendance cum Assessment record
- Fill up all the entries from the cover page to
the last cover page, including time table of the
staff.
- Get the comments of the HOD regarding the
entries such as date wise attendance marking, portion covered, class
test / CIT entries, assignment etc (Once in 15
days).
- Get the signature of the first page after end of
every month, with remarks / Comments noted, if any, (to be written in
the last page of the assessment record).
- Using page setup prepare Lecture Schedule unit
wise and paste the same in the concerned pages of the assessment record
(record of class work).
Each unit may be allotted one page, with sufficient space at the
bottom (at least five lines).
This space may be used for writing additional topics covered,
cancellation of classes, test conducted etc. This will avoid writing in the
assessment record the entire Lecture Schedule.
- All the columns in the space provided for the
record of class work are to be filled up. Do not omit any columns (S.No.,
Date planned, Topic covered, actual date, hours etc).
- Write legibly and avoid over writing. Make use of whitener if
correction is necessary.
Also write unit number and title of the unit in the record of
class work.
- If the students were absent, physically, it may
be marked as absent even though he or she has applied for OD or
attending any programme.
Only after the production of necessary OD signed by class
coordinator and HOD or event incharge, attendance may be granted for
such students. Allot a
space for marking such OD in the attendance
column.
- If the class hours falls between nonconsecutive
hours, attendance shall be marked in separate column. Also for consecutive hours
attendance shall be marked in separate columns (that is Mark only one
hour in each column).
- Write or paste the Lecture plan in the
assessment record as given in the Lecture Schedule. Follow the order, do not
interchange the units.
Avoid deviation from the actual.
- Additional columns may be added (in the space
provided for test / assignment / internal mark calculation) so as to
include marks allotted for test (15 marks) and attendance. Show clearly the internal mark
awarded.
- For the purpose of internal mark calculation,
faculty shall take in to account of the sanctioned ODs as per attendance
report, given by students section.
- Actual dates shall be entered immediately after
the class is over.
II.
Maintenance of
Attendance Slip Book
- Write legibly all the entries in the Attendance
slip. Do not over
write. Corrections if any,
to be authenticated by staff signature.
- Write all six digits to mark the absence of the
students. Do not write last
three digits.
- The counter file of the attendance slip shall
retained by the concerned faculty till the internal mark is forwarded to
University.
- Read the roll number of absentees loudly. Wrong entry of attendance shall
be avoided.
- Count the number of students and mark the
absentees. Check the number
of absentees and roll number of absentees.
III.
