Started offering M.E. in Power Systems Engineering in the year 2005 with an intake of 20 and increased intake to 24 in 2012 (F.No.Southern/1-687512981/2012/EOA, dated 10.05.2012, AICTE).



PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO1: Ability to engage in applications oriented work and management of the electrical power industry, including generation, transmission, distribution, electrical machines and machine control.

PEO2: Ability to work as teaching faculty in reputed institutions and work as engineer in IT industries.

PEO3: Ability to engage in research and development activities

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

PO1:An ability to evaluate and analyse problems related to Power Systems

PO2:An ability to solve power system problems by applying the optimization techniques

PO3:An ability to demonstrate and apply appropriate techniques and various resources including hardware and IT tools for modern power engineering.

PO4:An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems

PO5:An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document
