The department of chemistry consists of six highly qualified, well experienced and dedicated faculty members with one Professor and Head, one Selection Grade Lecturer and four Lecturers.
The department has a spacious laboratory with 2350 sq.ft. area and it is provided with sufficient number of working tables to accommodate 32 to 36 students at a time to carry out the practical. Separate store room, staff room and provision for research and development are also provided in the department.
The department is equipped with sufficient numbers of instruments like Digital Conductometer, Digital Potentiometer, Digital pH meter, Calomel electrodes, Platinum electrodes & Glasswares required for carrying out practicals for I year B.E./B.Tech courses.
In addition to the above equipments, the department has instruments such as spectrophotometer and Digital flame photometer for demonstration purposes to students. The department is catering to the needs B.E./B.Tech students.
I year B. E. / B. Tech students (2009-2010) presented papers in “State Level Student Seminars”
held at Thiagarajar College and K.L.N. information Technology and won prizes.
