- Innovation promotion cell of KLNCE has been established during September 2014, aiming towards collecting innovative ideas and concepts which have societal impact towards fulfilling the needs of the society and there by developing realizable products and services.
- Idea drop box has been located in areas such as old canteen, UG library, Exam cell, Mechanical, Automobile block and ECE block of KLNCE. The innovative team comprises of two or three student member to form an interdisciplinary project team. About 100 students are nominated from various departments to be the member of IPC.
- The IPC coordinators by Dr.P.Ganeshkumar send a proposal on IPS (innovation promotion scheme) during November 2013 and we have received a grant of Rs.1.5lakhs to organize contest, seminar and workshop etc through this scheme.

- IPC of KLNCE has organized fourth version of Innovative project contest during 8th September 2017. Mr.S.Sathyanarayanan , Senior system Engineer ,Honeywell Technologies , Madurai addresses the gathering . 45 Projects out of 75 registered has been demonstrated in various stream and cash award to tune of Rs 30,000/- has been given about 120 students benefited out of this event.
- IPC of KLNCE jointly organizes IOT challenges contest in association with I3 Indya Technologies & IIT Mumbai, a Workshop on “IOT and Embedded Technologies held during Feb 2018.Mr Anchol chosta, Embedded Engineer from I3 Indya Technologies, Mumbai deliver the keynote address on IOT. About 120 student participants registered for the Events. Two team from our Institute has been shortlisted for demonstrating their project prototype at TECHFEST ‘2016 IIT MUMBAI held during March’2018.
- Review of Project ideas for seed funding by the internal funding scheme has been organized by our Innovation promotion cell on 12th Feb 2018 by Dr H.S.Jamakandi Director, MSME Sponsored CoE, IISc Bangalore . 18 Projects has been presented and 8 projects has been sanctioned an amount of Rs 73,000/-.
- IPC of KLNCE jointly organizes IOT challenges contest in association with I3 Indya Technologies & IIT Mumbai, a Prelims Workshop on “IOT and Embedded Technologies held during 7th & 8th Sept 2018. Mr Amritansh, Embedded Engineer from I3 Indya Technologies, Mumbai deliver the keynote address on IOT. About 120 student participants registered for the Events. Five teams from our Institute has been shortlisted for demonstrating their project prototype at TECHFEST ‘2019 IIT MUMBAI to be held during March’2019.

Academic Year: 2015-2016
- IPC organizes the second version of the innovative project contest during 15th September 2015. Dr.P.R.Venkateswaran, Deputy Manager, Welding Research institute BHEL Trichy, delivers the inaugural address. About 70 projects from nearby Engineering colleges registered and 48 projects have been submitted for final presentation and demo. Nine projects have been selected in various streams such Mechanical Automobile streams, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation streams and Computer Science, Information Technology stream. Cash award of Rs.30,000/- has been awarded for the prize winners.
- Our college magnanimously sanctioned an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- for IPC student SEED fund for converting innovative idea into prototype. During the academic year 11 projects have been shortlisted from 45 project ideas towards financial assistance from RDU SEED fund of KLNCE. 32 BE/B.TECH students get benefit out of it.
- Madurai cooperation has organized a climate risk management program in Urban areas through disaster preparedness and mitigation is Madurai city at Thamukkam ground during June 2015. A team of 20 students from BE/E.TECH had participated and won first prize of cash award Rs.5000/-.
- IPC of KLNCE jointly organizes innovation of Engg & Technology IET’16 sponsored by Recruitment Analysis Council, during 13th Feb 2016. About 26 participants were presented their project ideas. The review committee scrutinized four projects for final round held at Hindustan University, Chennai.

- TED talk and Tech show has been organized periodically for the members of IPC to incubate the attitude towards interdisciplinary project of social converted to new investors and innovative produced prototype.
